Bart’s Blended Irish Whiskey 

Bart’s Irish Whiskey is our first blended Whiskey release from Lough Ree Distillery. A complex blend of 5 different Whiskies, we’ve called it after our late dad, Bart, as a lasting legacy to his memory.

We’ve been on a tremendous journey over the last number of years, and individually and collectively we’ve missed his guiding input and influence, and most of all the fun he would have gotten from being involved in the thick of things. And all the while probably thinking we’re mad.

With Dad, problems were never problems, merely a series of puzzles to be solved, if you solved each one individually and then joined the answers together you solved the problem. Clocks were his fascination in latter years, and the ultimate manifestation of problem solving. He understood that each component, regardless of size, was an intrinsic part to making the clock work and keeping perfect time.

Likewise with this complex blended Whiskey which bears his name in perpetuity. Each constituent whiskey is as important as the next, and the sum of the parts is a perfectly balanced and outstanding Whiskey.

And so it should be, as rightful testament to our dad, Bart Clancy.

Like all of our Whiskies, Bart’s is a non chill-filtered whiskey with no added colour.

Tasting Notes: 

Nose: Toasted marshmallow, sliced pear and cinnamon.

Taste: Red summer fruit, dry spice and caramelized sugar

Finish: Long, spicy and oily with wisps of smoke.
